About me

My journey into this work is a map of my own life’s challenges. I didn’t start with answers, rather a deep curiosity about why we humans suffer, and a longing to help.
From a young age, I gravitated towards supporting people. But for many years, I carried a hidden belief that who I was, was fixed. If I wasn’t good at something right away, I would abandon it. I deeply wanted to belong, yet often felt like the odd one out, developing pleaser tactics to feel safe.
Early in my 20’s, climbing corporate ladders, I found myself burned out, disconnected, and anxious. A counsellor pointed me to meditation, which altered my course significantly, starting a practice of mindfulness I continue to this day.
Later on as a leader, I fell into a training session that planted a potent seed: a coaching mentality. Instead of imposing solutions, you would ask questions that allowed self direction and ownership. I still remember the impact during a practice session with a co-worker. We broke out in hysterics at how effective it was, divulging truths we did not even know sat within us.
A few years later, a relationship breakdown on the opposite side of the world thrust me into reinvention. I was broke, broken-hearted, and only knew two people. It was there I began to recognise, on a much deeper level, that the beliefs I held played a major role in how my life was turning out, and the people I attracted into my sphere.
When the world paused during Covid, I answered a long-held calling and signed up for transformational coaching. It was a leap into self-employment amidst the chaos, but it felt like coming home. As I deepened this work, a beautiful symmetry emerged. I realized that while powerful questioning could help untangle the mind, our physical body offers another pathway for momentum. When our thoughts feel stuck, moving our bodies can build the resilience to get unstuck. This revelation sparked a new passion in becoming a personal trainer.
Coaching mind and body has been deeply fulfilling, providing an anchor both for those I serve and myself.
My latest challenge has been my greatest yet, recovering from nearly losing the function of my legs and having spinal surgery. Going from a fit, independent person to needing my partner to tie my shoelaces was humbling to say the least. Throughout, I have had to practice another level of compassion and determination in challenging my beliefs and finding a pathway.
In sharing this I hope to communicate my deep belief in our ability to change. I like to think of my role as excavator—bit by bit unveiling the power that already exists in you. We are not defined by our experiences, only influenced.
