Movement Coaching
Functional strength for ease, resilience and energy.
Support for Beginners
Starting or returning to the gym can feel intimidating. Maybe you’re unsure where to begin, worried about judgment, or afraid of getting hurt by doing the wrong thing. It’s easy to either push too hard and burn out, or stick to what’s familiar and never see progress.
My approach is designed to take the overwhelm out of movement. We’ll focus on sustainable, foundational strength in a way that feels accessible and even enjoyable. Drawing on my background in Transformational Coaching, I’ll help you build not just physical strength, but a positive, lasting relationship with your body and the gym.

Post Injury Recovery
Recovering from an injury is about more than just healing tissue—it’s a mental and emotional journey. You might feel frustrated by your body’s limits, fearful of re-injury, or disconnected from the strength or ability you once had. The path back can feel lonely and uncertain.
I provide the guidance and unwavering support you need to rebuild your strength and confidence safely. Having navigated a major back injury and rehabilitation myself, I bring deep empathy and practical understanding to every session. We’ll work at your pace to restore function, manage fear, and I’m happy to collaborate with your other healthcare providers to ensure you have seamless, wrap-around support.
Pregnancy & Postpartum support
Motherhood changes everything, including your relationship with your body. Whether you’re preparing to conceive, navigating pregnancy, or recovering postpartum, your needs are unique. You deserve to feel strong and supported, not confused about what’s safe or effective for your body.
With my comprehensive certification from Core Exercise Solutions, I provide evidence-based guidance tailored to every stage of motherhood. We’ll focus on building functional strength and supporting your pelvic floor so you can lift your child, manage daily tasks, and enjoy this precious time with more comfort, stability, and confidence.

“After a series of concussions, I began receiving Abi’s support transitioning back into daily exercise and movement. The training was always fulfilling and pushed me. However it was our discussions during sessions that had an immense long term impact. The “Teachings of Abi” (as I phrase it) has generated a sustainable positive approach and demeanour towards health, movement and exercise.”

What is Movement Coaching?
Movement coaching is a partnership where we translate your physical goals into a sustainable, actionable plan. I combine your fitness history, goals, and lifestyle with my experience to create a program that moves you toward lasting change. My approach is built on consistency and holistic well-being, not quick fixes.
What happens in a session?
We’ll start with a warm-up tailored to your body and our focus for the day. Then, we’ll move through a series of exercises which could include mobility, bodyweight, free weights, or machines – all chosen specifically for your needs. I’ll be right there to coach your form, ensure your safety, and provide the right level of challenge. Lastly, we’ll finish with a cool-down to help you recover.
I’m not sure about committing longer-term. What’s your approach?
It’s completely understandable to be cautious. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and a healthier relationship with movement, so you feel good about the investment in yourself. Because sustainable physical change takes time and is heavily influenced by sleep, nutrition and stress levels, I find clients see the best results with a 6-month+ horizon. This allows us to build momentum and adapt to life without the pressure of a short-term transformation which can often be unsustainable.
What’s the difference between face to face and online?
Face-to-Face is ideal if you value hands-on guidance, want access to a full gym, and thrive on in-person energy and accountability. Bookings will take place at my home gym ONI, which you can check out here.
Online Coaching is perfect if you need maximum flexibility in time, prefer to train at home, or want to become self-sufficient in your movement practice with what you have at home. You will need a reliable internet connection, a reasonable device for video calling so I can see and hear you well and a clear space of about 1-2 meters square to move in.
Both options include personalised programming and my dedicated support.
Whats included with your sessions?
You’re investing in a comprehensive support system. This includes our 1:1 session time, a thoughtfully prepared long-term plan, progress tracking, and homework programs when appropriate. My ultimate goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to feel self-sufficient, though I am always here for long-term guidance for those who prefer it.
How do I get started?
We’ll begin with a free consultation to discuss your goals and ensure we’re a good fit. I’ll then suggest a starting point tailored to you. Once you’re ready, we’ll book your first session—which includes a baseline assessment to measure against. We’ll check in on your goals every 4-6 weeks to ensure we’re on track and make any needed adjustments.
